Effective Date: September 3, 2026
Advocate is a free, experimental web application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze uploaded documents for potential compliance, regulatory, or related issues.
By accessing or using Advocate, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. What Advocate Does
Advocate allows users to upload documents and receive automated analysis identifying potential compliance, regulatory, or related issues.
The service is provided free of charge and may be experimental or under active development.
2. Not Legal or Professional Advice
Advocate provides automated information and analysis for informational purposes only.
Advocate does not provide legal advice, regulatory advice, or professional compliance advice.
Advocate is not a law firm, and using Advocate does not create an attorney-client relationship or any other professional advisory relationship.
Results provided by Advocate should not be considered a substitute for advice from qualified legal, compliance, financial, or other professionals.
You should consult an appropriate qualified professional when professional advice is required.
3. AI Can Make Mistakes
Advocate uses artificial intelligence and automated systems. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or incorrect.
If Advocate does not identify a violation or issue, that does not mean that a document, communication, product, practice, transaction, or activity complies with applicable laws or regulations.
Likewise, if Advocate identifies a potential violation or issue, that does not necessarily mean that a violation has actually occurred.
Laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, interpretations, and enforcement practices may change and may depend on jurisdiction and specific circumstances.
You should independently evaluate important results before relying on them.
4. Documents You Upload
You retain ownership of documents you upload to Advocate.
By uploading a document, you give Advocate permission to process, transmit, and temporarily store the document as reasonably necessary to provide the analysis you requested and operate the service.
You should only upload documents that you own or are otherwise authorized to provide and process.
You may not upload documents obtained unlawfully or documents that you are not authorized to share.
Our handling of uploaded documents and personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use Advocate to:
- violate applicable law;
- violate another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights;
- upload information obtained unlawfully;
- interfere with or attempt to compromise Advocate or its systems;
- introduce malicious software or harmful code; or
- use the service for fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.
6. Experimental Service
Advocate is provided as a free and experimental service.
Features may change, stop working, or be removed. The service may be suspended or discontinued at any time.
We do not guarantee that Advocate will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
7. No Warranties
Advocate is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or fitness of the service or its results for any particular purpose.
In particular, we do not guarantee that Advocate will identify every compliance, regulatory, legal, or other issue contained in or relating to a document.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Advocate and the people involved in creating, maintaining, or operating Advocate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on its results.
This includes damages resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or missing analysis.
You are responsible for independently evaluating results before relying on them.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Advocate changes.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of Advocate after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
